Hazelnut Latte Roadmap
Hey everyone!
I got a comment the other day asking about a roadmap, and I thought that was a pretty good idea. We had an internal plan for future updates, so I figured I'd turn it into a cool roadmap to let everyone know what is happening and what to expect going forward.
The first thing I want to talk about is the release schedule. There is no more Public release, so how do we know when a version is done? The way it used to be was when it hit the public, then it was time to move on to the next version.
We want every version to contain content and potentially new systems. I originally wanted every episode to be a build, but as we saw with the last build, episodes take a long time.
As we advance, we are going to try releasing episodes in chunks. v0.12 will have a chunk of Episode 6's content, then v0.13 and v0.14.
We have a set amount of content we want in v0.12. When we think it is in a good state, we will release it in Alpha to our $20 backers. They will bug-test and try to break the game. After we get all their feedback, we will spend the next week or two or even three fixing everything that was found if the problems are bad.
After it is good, we will release the build to $15/$10 backers—next week, $5, then $3.
When the build typically goes out to the public for free, it will now be available on Itch as Early Access. (We are still working on a price, but we are considering starting at $10.) We will also have the walkthrough PDF up for sale on Itch.
This way, everyone gets content faster, and we get to release more awesome stuff for you all to play. I hope we will have the following Alpha ready for release once the Early Access goes live on Itch. So, it is, in theory, a beautiful constant cycle of content. Pray for me.
I do hope this is better overall! I want more people to play the game more often. It felt rather shitty having those $10 backers get nothing for a few months while we worked on Alphas. I want to avoid that going forward. You all support me, even if you're giving $3, and I want to give back more often. You all allow me to do this for a living and hire more awesome people like Noba and Koth. And also give Kokman a raise cause he's insane.
SO! This roadmap will be Public Knowledge! I will post this on my Patreon about page, Itch game store page, Discord #links-and-info channel, and Twitter!
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, you can reach me here, on Twitter, or Discord!
Thank you for your time and support. Be sure to Stay Rad Out There!

Kinda wish that Dave would be romanceable.
A lot of people feel that way, which is awesome since it means people liked my character.
But as a writer, I don't have anything interesting to say with Dave at the moment. And there is not enough character to turn Dave into a main love interest.
I'll explore him a bit more in the future, but I don't have a lot to say xD
How about exploring Dave as more of a best friend option. Could be a polarizing decision but I think someone who can support you that's not a person you can romance will make it different and interesting.
how to buy it at one, is there any budget level when you pay enough to get the game when fully launch?
So the full game isnt out yet, wont be for a couple years. We haven't figured out a price since it's so far away.
Are you launching it on steam?
When the game is finished, yes.
Hey, I just want to double check to make sure I understand correctly. You've moved the steam release from q4 this year to when the game is fully finished? As in, from another comment you left, in a couple years?
I never set the release date to Q4 of this year and neither did my publisher. Steam just did that and eventually corrected itself to what we originally set it at which is "To be announced"
We're gonna make an entire 26 episode game outta this yet!
Interesting
yay nice
Great ideia S2
